Juya

Juya is the first flower to bloom after the rain. Juya also means rain in Wayuu language. Wayuus cover the holes in the trees with mud and sand, where the Rainbow Snake - Kasipoulin - nests. The purpose of this ritual is to prevent Kasipoulin from appearing on the land and disturbing Juya.
