Not every pattern has to have a deep meaning, any everyday phenomenon or event can be a source of inspiration. It should be added that the Wayuu people do not eat cows. They are just that rare and precious. The most common meat Wayuu people eat is the goat: 'el chivo' - the animal itself looks so wiry and tough, but the meat is pretty fatty.
